Here’s a photo dump of Flame Princess wig progress.
I worked on it for about 12 hours straight while watching tv, (so it wasn’t a super solid 12 hours), and then another 3 or 4 hours the next day.
I made this up as I went, I really didn’t have a game plan other than to make it pointy, haha
I made a foam form, sewed it to my wig, then started wrapping and gluing. I used Clear Elmer’s school glue. Since I dyed it with alcohol + Sharpies, I couldn’t use hairspray without risking stripping the dye out. I teased it a bit here and there too to add some volume and keep it softer. It’s a tight wig after gluing so much on it. I’ve got to add some toupee clips and it’ll be good to go!

I’m basically finished with Jadesprite, I just have to make the ears.
I really like how the chest fur came out. I hand colored the roots of the fur with 3 different shades of green, so it kind of looks like it’s glowing green. The ears are just going to be white.
Animazement is in 3 days, so I feel good about everything.
I finally found my Sophitia and Team Magma costumes, so I’ll have those as well.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to update again before the con, so I hope everyone else is ready!

Herpaderp here’s my secret costume :|
I need to do some handsewing, order a wig, make the ears/tail/chest fluff, and paint the shoes, and I’m done.
This was a lot more effort than I should have done for something so ridiculous. (Plus it makes me look fat :| )

Progress on the secret cosplay. Only one sleeve for testing fit, which I’ll have to alter the armscye, but it’s ridiculously puffy enough for my taste, so there’s that :) I should have this all put together by the end of the week, and I haven’t even started on Flame Princess yet, haha
